Golf is now a much larger sport with more rules than just “you hit a golf ball”.
Today, there are many types of golf courses to be found in America: They range from the most basic forms of a public golf course to the most highly technical forms found only in the most expensive golf resort homes. For the ultimate golfer, a golf course can be anything that you want it to be. Even if you are looking for something simple and not too difficult, you will find many options available.
The first type of golf course you will see is called the public course: These are places that are set up for the general public, such as in a golf course community or in front of a country club or resort. In these settings, you will find that most of the people playing will be men and women, probably including some children. Because the shots are set up around the fairway, you will not have too many hazards, but you will have a very large collection of balls to shoot from. This can prove to be an annoying experience.
If you hit a ball into one of the holes: you must then tee it up again or place it in your bag and begin your second round. Once a golfer has finished teeing off, they must then strike the ball into the ball fairway. If you are playing a nine-hole game, this would equal fifty strokes. However, since you only have nine holes to play, this means that you must play plus fours and take your time. A golfer cannot exceed twelve strokes without hitting a foul stroke.
Additionally, most courses require: that you use special clubs for holes that are used only for a particular kind of shot. For instance, if you are using a driver to hole ten, you would not use a par 4 club. As a matter of fact, you would use a much more expensive club to hole it. This is just to keep the scoring as fair as possible for the players using them.
There are two types of strokes that are used on a golf course: They are called chipping and driving. A golfer can chip off the ball and place it in a hole, and drive it into the ball fairway, scoring strokes. It is important to note that chipping should only be done on grass holes, and driving should only be used on well-groomed, concrete holes.
